BEAR.FUN — HOW IT WORKS Updated October 31, 2026 See the other side of a price move. Bear's preview explains the idea behind a short: a position that can gain when a market price falls, and lose when it rises. You can explore market data, try the illustration and join the beta today. Trading isn't open yet. THE SHORT IDEA Buying a coin gives you exposure to its price going up. A short takes the opposite direction. Profit or loss depends on the price move and the costs and terms of the position. A falling price does not guarantee a net profit. Bear's trading model is still being developed. The preview explains price exposure; it does not promise a particular borrowing or execution mechanism. ONE EXAMPLE, TWO POSSIBLE OUTCOMES Imagine $100 of initial short exposure: Price falls 20% -> illustrative price P/L: +$20 Price rises 20% -> illustrative price P/L: -$20 P/L means profit or loss. These are separate alternatives from the same starting point, not consecutive moves in one trade. The $100 is the exposure at entry, not a required deposit, collateral amount or quoted order. Both examples are before fees, borrowing costs, slippage and liquidation. The calculator changes the illustration only. It doesn't place an order, move a market, show an executable quote or pay out a displayed gain. UNDERSTAND THE RISK If the price rises, a short can lose money, and losses can grow beyond the example shown. Fees and borrowing costs can reduce a gain or increase a loss. Slippage means an actual trade can execute at a different price than expected. Liquidation can force a position to close when its collateral is insufficient. Execution, collateral and liquidation terms would depend on the final product. The preview does not model these costs or events, or set a maximum loss. WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY Explore read-only market previews and use the short illustration. Join the beta with your email for updates and access announcements. You can optionally name coins you would like to short; requests help us understand interest. No wallet is needed for today's preview or signup. Trading, deposits, wallet connections and wallet signing are disabled. Signup requires no payment or token purchase and does not guarantee access, a listing or a launch date. ABOUT THE MARKET DATA Prices come from selected DEX Screener pools and are polled, with a visible fetch time. Charts come from an external service. A recent fetch tells you when Bear retrieved data; it does not guarantee a recent on-chain trade or a price you could execute. The provider may be delayed or unavailable. A watchlist entry is for exploration, not an available trade. Pool liquidity is not short capacity. Any future supported market would need suitable borrowing or counterparty capacity, execution and risk checks. ABOUT THE FILM The infographic uses fictional meme imagery and a what-if price example. Its pump.fun reference provides memecoin-launch context only. Bear is independent; the film does not announce an affiliation, integration or the ability to short every pump.fun coin.
